Alan Howard Blanc, M.D., Ph.D, L.Ac. combines over thirty years of experience and personal research into the practice of medicine with herbs.

Alan was raised (at least part time) in an old-fashioned Pharmacy in the Eastern part of this country. His father sold plasters and hand-made perfumed medicines, using scales, some of which Alan owns still….Mass produced medicines had not yet taken over. When he grew older, Alan worked in the Pharmacy.

Science  major at college, medical student, intern in Medicine, Resident in Psychiatry, a Psychoanalytic fellowship in London, Psychoanalytic training in Los Angeles, a California state license in Acupuncture and in Herbology, with also National boards in each, 5 Element post graduate training, all this is part of Alan’s education and his commitment to being and continually becoming a complete healer.

Alan has not neglected attention to the spiritual aspect of the herbs either.

Alan and Mid-West’s own line of products were begun and are continued and finally are marketed in a Pharmacy as a way to honor his Medical beginnings and to ensure purity and safety to the client.
